Keep Calm + Jingle On!

As the Holiday Party season quickly approaches, I take to Pinterest for inspirations for my appetizer buffet, bar set up + table decor.  I love to match my party decor to my existing seasonal decorations so that means lots of silvers, whites + touches of tiffany blue!

I usually use my bar + buffet  setups as my kick off to the rest of my party theme decor.  I love the mix of rustic and glitzy glamour + whimsical ideas found around the web this season!

When building your buffet area, don’t forget to use the layering effect!  Things can look a bit boring when every item is at the same level.

If you don’t own risers, try using boxes, upside down bowls, etc + cover with linens to create various heights for maximum appeal.

Below are some ideas from our own Christmas Party…

I recommend serving bit-sized, finger foods for easy consumption for your guests- especially if you’re throwing a cocktail style party where the majority of guests will be standing.  I’m a sucker for anything miniature so I’ve stocked up mini serving items such as shot glasses, parfait glasses, ramekins, + silverware.  You can find these items around the holidays at stores like Pier One + IKEA – or disposable ones from SmartyHadAParty!

I just fell in love with this chalkboard cheese platter idea I found on Pinterest!

By using a large rectangular platter I found last season at HomeGoods (made by Strawberry Ave), I easily recreated this project in no time!  To see the tutorial, click here.
